Here I show part 1 of 3 of a painting I did of a friend's name, Marcelo. In Spanish, 'mar' means ocean and 'cielo' means sky or heaven. This is a word painting where all of the letters of Marcelo are overlapped-creating the structural design for the painting. Here I show how it's laid out and how I will be coloring it to resemble sky and ocean.
