I was interviewed on breakfreeradio.com about my success as an artist; the turmoil of being gay in a Mormon community; and how I embraced my truth and now living free. It was a challenge to put myself out there like this; however, it is liberating to share with the world a smidge of my story--in the hopes it will inspire even one person who has had a similar life's journey.

Here I show part 1 of 3 of a painting I did of a friend's name, Marcelo. In Spanish, 'mar' means ocean and 'cielo' means sky or heaven. This is a word painting where all of the letters of Marcelo are overlapped-creating the structural design for the painting. Here I show how it's laid out and how I will be coloring it to resemble sky and ocean. Here I reveal the finished painting of my friend's contract/statement about who he is. Beautiful.
