This is your ‘natural knowing’ speaking to you—your ‘gut feeling’ or following your heart—the receiving of information for your highest good. It’s knowing the answers on an exam or knowing how to handle a situation. How many times have we had these ‘downloads’ of information only to disregard them and later say, “I should’ve listened to my gut, my heart, etc”? Trust those thoughts and ideas that come to you…they came for a reason.
For this design, I used the letters of “I Am Intuition” to create streams converging at the ‘third-eye’. It’s one of my Affirmations’ Type Puzzles and will soon be available for purchase on my artsite. Be sure to keep following for updates and announcements.
So, what do you feel from this design? And, do you like to color, doodle, art journal, or would you simply frame it and admire it, or __________ (other ideas)?
Also shown is the ‘key’—revealing where the letters are located in the design. Have fun!
Empowerment is one of the main purposes and results of affirmations. Just as saying negative things about ourselves disempower us, saying things in the positive/affirmative empower us and remind us of who we truly are—our inherent traits.
“I Am Empowerment” is one of my Affirmations’ Type Puzzles to color, doodle, art journal, etc., and will soon be available for purchase. Be sure to keep following for updates and announcements.
Also shown is the ‘key’—revealing how the letters of I AM EMPOWERMENT—make up the design. The finished piece has only slightly changed since the original sketch. Hint: the small, center circle is the ‘O’.
Today’s Type Puzzle, from my forthcoming Affirmations coloring books (this one from Vol. 2), depicts a person who is saying ‘Thank You’ in sign language—with the fingers touching the chin and then the fingers moving forward—away from the chin. The arc between positions shows the movement of the gesture (which is the letter ‘T’ from ‘Gratitude’).
All of the Type Puzzles are made of type (letters) from each title. I don’t have the ‘key’ for this one as I made changes to it from the original sketch. The title is shown in upper and lower-case—according to which form of the letter is used in the Type Puzzle (for easier finding).
I AM HEALTH Type Puzzle Affirmations, Vol. 2, coloring page, by Darin Jones
When we accept that there is more than one way to everything, we open-up ourselves to possibilities. And, when we affirm “I Am Possibilities,” we BECOME possible to infinite ways of being, doing, and having in everything.
To illustrate, I took the month of January from my typography puzzles Life-Planning Wall Calendar, cut-it-up along the black lines; rearranged the pieces to form a fun configuration; colored them in marker; then re-assembled it to create a colorful mosaic. Voilà! Possibilities.
My forthcoming typography puzzles’ coloring book of “Affirmations” contains the design “I Am Possibilities”—made of letters—that depicts different possibilities.
Thinking today about Yoda training Luke Skywalker, I don’t remember if it was spoken or not, but I imagine that a great respect for the ‘Force’ must be given to wield such a power.
Respect is important in so many aspects of our lives—respect for oneself, respect for others, respect for nature, and so on...
To affirm “I Am Respect” is to be respect, and to be respect, you will then respect all things—even the great “Force.” May it be with you. And so it is...
My forthcoming Affirmations’ typography puzzles coloring book will feature “I Am Respect”. Pictured here is one of the sketches I made in developing the design. The design is made out of the letters: I Am Respect. Hint: The eye and nose lines are a ‘T’. Use the rough sketch key below for help.
As adults, when we come to a new, unknown path in life, we may feel any number of emotions—fear being one of them—not knowing what lies ahead and where it will take us…
However, our inner, adventure-seeking child is curious to see where the path will take us!
Paths are presented every day to us in the choices and decisions we make…and by affirming “I Am Curiosity,” we empower ourselves to embark on the unknown path ahead because our inner child is curious to see where it will go and enjoy the journey!
The design “I Am Curiosity” is in my forthcoming coloring book of “Affirmations” for the AffirMAYtion month of May. All affirmations are stated in the noun form to embody what that entity is and to empower oneself.
Today, I read a quote about ‘perfectionism’, and I got thinking how hard I am on myself—from looking at my ‘flaws’ and wishing they were gone or ‘better’—to ‘imperfections’ in my art and wishing they were more ‘precise’ or ‘better’.
When I look at nature—be it a tulip, a succulent, or stone, I don’t see imperfections, I only see beauty and perfection—each thing has its varying characteristics that make it unique and beautiful. If I can describe nature as perfection, then why not myself, or you? We all have our varying, beautiful, unique characteristics that make us who we are, so by saying, “I Am Perfection,” we embody IT—rather than describing ourselves as ‘perfect’ in the adjective form.
In my forthcoming coloring book of “Affirmations” designs, you’ll notice they are all stated in the noun form (VS the adjective), E.g. “I Am Beauty” (VS “I Am Beautiful”). So, however you see yourself, affirm “I Am Perfection”—whether you look at yourself in the mirror or with eyes closed—and really mean it. Say that a few times and see how you feel.
Saying positive affirmations have empowered me in countering negative self-talk and in the creating of what I want in my life.
ANNOUNCEMENT: In May, I will be publishing my new coloring books of Affirmations, Vols. 1 & 2, to provide people visual designs and their associative energy of affirmations, such as “I Am Commitment,” and “I Am Health.” —More on this to follow…
For now, bring to mind a negative self-talk you often find yourself saying, like “I give up,” then think of an affirmation in the positive, E.g. “I Am Perseverance.” Be with that—feel it, say it, and notice any shift in how you feel. ........
