EXPRESSION is a design in which the letters of “Expression” overlap, intersect, and connect to create the design. Just as children easily and freely express themselves, my intention for this piece was to simplify the palette to the primary colors of red, yellow, and blue, and to use the black lines of the letters to add strong contrast. The ‘drip’ of red reminds us to be playful as children are.
